If you are stamping both
sides of your chips, we will stamp the one side and then flip the
chip over to run through the machine again to impress the flip side
of the chip.
Not all chips can be
stamped. The material used to manufacture the chip affects
whether the foil will apply properly to the chip. In addition,
hot stamp-able chips must have a metal insert, as this gives them
the strength needed to withstand the stamping process.
Another popular service is
a custom hot stamp die.
Here we will actually manufacture a die that stamps your logo, image
or custom words or phrase onto your chips.
The stamping is done with
a single color foil, and depending on the chip you choose, you can
select from gold (the most popular), silver, black or white foils.
Therefore, your custom die
needs to be a single color as shading, grayscales or colors are not
supported by the process.
